Life finds a way! Alexandre Desplat’s Jurassic World: Rebirth Soundtrack has emerged from the Mosasaurus’ jaws and is now available to own from all good vendors.
Gareth Edwards’ Jurassic World: Rebirth is now finally playing in cinemas everywhere. The long-awaited sequel has proven to be a hit with fans of the Jurassic franchise, and now, fans can enjoy Alexandre Desplat’s sensational score from the film. The album features the film’s original music composed by Alexandre Desplat (The Shape of Water, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Godzilla, The Grand Budapest Hotel, The King’s Speech). For the soundtrack, Desplat crafted a wonderfully weighted new score, while also incorporating several cues from John Williams’ brilliant score from the original Jurassic Park. THE SOUNDTRACK
Having seen the film, I can assure fans of the Jurassic franchise that the symphonic masterwork of John Williams is in safe hands. Alexandre Desplat’s superb score features a treasure trove of breathtaking new music that complements Williams’ work to perfection. But of course, no Jurassic film worth its salt would omit the classic theme, and I’m delighted to confirm that Desplat has used Williams’ classic cues to perfection.

In my review of the film, I said: “Jurassic World: Rebirth is absolutely phenomenal. Gareth Edwards has channeled his inner Spielberg to craft a loving tribute to Jurassic Park and Jaws. Although some of the CGI is questionable at times, the film delivers the ultimate Mosasaurus and T. Rex sequences. It takes the franchise back to basics and delivers everything a Jurassic fan could ask for. It’s a Jurassic classic! ALEXANDRE DESPLAT
Alexandre Desplat is now one of only four composers to create music for a film in the Jurassic franchise. John Williams famously composed the scores for both of Steven Spielberg’s original movies. Don Davis provided a notable score for Jurassic Park III, while the exceptional Michael Giacchino composed three impressive scores for Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World trilogy. And now, Desplat has crafted a soundtrack that pays homage to this beloved saga. THE FILM
Jurassic World: Rebirth stars Scarlett Johansson, Mahershala Ali, Rupert Friend, Jonathan Bailey, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, David Iacono, Luna Blaise, Ed Skrein, Bechir Sylvain, and Philippine Velge.
Gareth Edwards, known for directing The Creator, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, and Godzilla, helmed this feature with a screenplay by David Koepp, who wrote the original Jurassic Park, as well as Spider-Man, War of the Worlds, and Mission: Impossible.
