Sixth Dimension releases the red band international trailer for Silent Night, Deadly Night. They also announced the UK release date. Time for a slay ride!
STUDIOCANAL’s in-house genre label, Sixth Dimension. In collaboration with Cineverse, today unveils the international red band trailer and UK & Irish release date for the iconic slasher franchise SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT. The highly anticipated reboot is set to bring holiday horror to cinemas worldwide this Christmas. STUDIOCANAL’s Sixth Dimension will release the film in UK & Irish cinemas on 12 December 2025.
This is the first theatrical release for STUDIOCANAL’S genre-label, Sixth Dimension.
PREMISE
SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT reimagines a 1984 cult horror classic. In this film, a young boy witnesses the murder of his parents by a man dressed as Santa. He then grows up and becomes a killer himself. Haunted by trauma and fuelled by a twisted sense of justice, he dons the red suit. He turns the Advent calendar into a series of nights of terror.
As Christmas Eve approaches, a small town becomes his latest hunting ground, where the naughty and bad pay the ultimate price. Blending psychological horror, brutal slasher thrills, a touch of the supernatural, and – more shockingly still – a sprinkle of romance, the film delivers a modern, chilling new take on the ultimate holiday nightmare.
CAST AND CREW
Directed by Mike P. Nelson (Wrong Turn, V/H/S/85), the upcoming feature brings together the original 1984 Tri-Star film’s producers Scott Schneid and Dennis Whitehead, alongside Jamie R. Thompson of New Dimension, with Erik Bernard, who also joins the team as Producer.
Executive Producers Anthony Masi and Steven Schneider are on board alongside Erick Opeka, Yolanda Macias, Brandon Hill and Brad Miska as executive producers for Cineverse. Jed Benedict is overseeing the project for Sixth Dimension.
The film stars Rohan Campbell (Halloween Ends) as Billy and Ruby Modine (Happy Death Day) as Pamela, alongside Mark Acheson, David Lawrence Brown, and David Tomlinson, rounding out the cast. Principal photography was completed in spring 2025.
DISTRIBUTION
Sixth Dimension acquired global rights, excluding North America, to the reboot of slasher film SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT. STUDIOCANAL are handling sales and will distribute in their territories, including the UK & Ireland, France, Germany, Australia, New Zealand, Benelux and Poland.
SILENT NIGHT, DEADLY NIGHT opens in UK and Irish cinemas on December 12, 2025.
