Fortnite x DC: A New Batman (Pen and Ink) Has Arrived From Gotham City

Hey, DC fans! The Fortnite x DC Studios Batman (Pen and Ink) set is now available in the item shop. Here’s everything you need to know.
Look out, DC fans, because a new Batman skin has officially arrived in Fortnite. After Jim Lee’s Superman arrived last summer, boasting a glorious comic-like pen and ink variant, fans have been eagerly awaiting the arrival of Gotham’s Dark Knight in the same style. Now, DC can finally add the Caped Crusader to their collection with a skin that many are calling the best Fortnite has ever crafted. The glorious new Batman boasts the same style as the Man of Steel and features his iconic all-black suit, complete with Utility Belt and the classic yellow Bat-symbol on his chest. But before we head back to Gotham, get your first look at the skin below.
THE DARK KNIGHT RETURNS!
It is wonderful to see Jim Lee contributing to the new DC collection in Fortnite again. The DC legend has been on hand to deliver some of the most iconic looks for our superheroes for decades. So, fans can enjoy playing as one of the artist’s best designs right now.
The new Batman (Pen and Ink) skin is available from the item shop right now until May 30th. Gamers can purchase the skin on its own for 1,500 V-Bucks or purchase the Batman bundle for 1.800 V-Bucks. The bundle allows players to bolster the set with Batman’s cape Backbling and Batarang Pickaxe, which are sold separately for 300 V-Bucks and 800 V-Bucks, respectively. So we’d urge you to grab the set and save some all-important V-Bucks. But if you wanted a sweetener, buying the set will also add a new LEGO Batman skin to your locker!
THE FUTURE OF DC
It is safe to say that the collaboration between Fortnite and DC is back on track, and the players are reaping the benefits. With these larger-than-life heroes enhancing our gameplay, the game has never been richer. Over the last year, we’ve enjoyed the debut of Robin, Cyborg, Peacemaker, The Engineer, Mister Terrific, Batman Beyond, and two versions of the Man of Steel in the game. But with DC Studios’ Supergirl releasing in just a few short weeks, fans will be hoping for new skins for Kara-Zor-El and Lobo.
The release of LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight has definitely got fans excited, and the recently released key art from Fortnite that ties into the release suggests that the Tumbler and Nightwing will soon be added to the game. But until we hear something concrete from Epic Games, this is still just a teaser. However, it is wonderful to see the DC Universe thriving in Fortnite, and long may it continue.

What a phenomenal new skin. Despite multiple variants of the Dark Knight already available in the game, DC fans have yet to be rewarded with a definitive version. But based on the online chatter, this new skin comes pretty close. So dust off your cape and cowl and return to Gotham for a showdown with DC’s greatest superhero.
