Sky Greenlights The Second Chapter Of The Acclaimed Original Crime Drama Under Salt Marsh

Rafe Spall is to reprise his iconic role as Detective Eric Bull in the second chapter of the Sky Original crime drama, Under Salt Marsh.
Sky has announced the commission of the as-yet-untitled second chapter of their atmospheric Original crime drama Under Salt Marsh from creator, writer and director Claire Oakley. The series is produced by Little Door Productions in association with Sky Studios. Moreover, the six-part second series sees Rafe Spall reprise his role as the enigmatic Detective Eric Bull.
Following the events of the first series, Detective Eric Bull (Spall) moves to a remote Scottish mining village sinking under the weight of its own secrets, where a murder investigation brings him closer to the truth about his own past.
Under Salt Marsh launched in January 2026 to critical acclaim and went on to become the biggest Sky Original drama launch since The Day of the Jackal, as well as Sky’s biggest entertainment title of the year to date, getting a 28-day audience of 2.5 million.

BEHIND THE SERIES
The series comes from Little Door Productions in partnership with Sky Studios. Claire Oakley takes the lead as the creator, writer, and director. Collaborating with In-Sook Chappell, Jonathan Harbottle, and Scott Graham on the writing. Zoranna Piggott serves as the series producer. Elwen Rowlands represents Little Door Productions as an Executive Producer, along with Claire Oakley. Megan Spanjian serves in the same role for Sky.
The second chapter of Under Salt Marsh will begin filming in Scotland in 2027 and will be available on Sky and the streaming service NOW in the UK, Ireland and Italy. NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution will handle international sales.
