ETCH and Anarchists United Studios have announced the upcoming release of their adult comedy series CASSIE WORKMAN IS WITCHY AF. The series will premiere exclusively on YouTube starting Wednesday, September 16.

CASSIE WORKMAN IS WITCHY AF is an eight-part, weekly, adult comedic documentary series that explores the history and philosophy of occultism and magic. The show uses puppetry created by Direct Message and practical SFX makeup from Monster in My Closet (Smile 2, Hocus Pocus). It is set in a fictional occult bookstore owned by the show’s creator and host, Cassie Workman. She leads us through a world of ritual magic, identity, demons, tarot, love, death, and possible salvation. Moreover, it covers such topics as Aleister Crowley, John Dee, the secret history of Hollywood, and Santa Muerte.

The series stars acclaimed writer, actor, comedian, poet, musician, and visual artist Cassie Workman. She is known for her singular, heartfelt, emotive storytelling, incisive wit, and brutal deconstructions of the status quo. Guest stars include Shirley Manson (Garbage), comedian Ben Russell, and an all-star cast of demons and evil puppets.

THE THIRD ETCH SERIES

This is the third series that ETCH has financed and produced since its founding in 2024. It joins recent releases First Word On Horror and Art Show! With Captain Skinner. The company was founded by award-winning principals Philip Gelatt, Will Battersby, and Morgan Galen King. ETCH strives to finance, produce, and distribute unique animation, documentary, and genre pieces. The company hopes these works will make the world a less dumb place. The show also marks one of the first to go into production for Lilly Wachowski’s company, ANARCHISTS UNITED STUDIOS. The studio, led by Wachowski along with Sarah Marie Flores and Lawrence Mattis, actively focuses on elevated genre projects created by artists from underrepresented communities.
