Medicom Toys gives us our first look at the highly anticipated Jim Lee Cyclops Mafex action figure
In the last few months, Medicom Toys has announced the imminent arrival of not one, but two new action figures from the pages of Marvel Comics which just so happen to be two of the most adored characters ever to grace the pages of comic books everywhere. After the recent Amazing Spider-Man range was released to high praise from the fans Medicom is turning its attention to the legendary mutants of the X-Men.
Deciding to focus on their popular depictions from both the comic books and the superb animated series from the late nineties, the Mafex range will soon be bolstered by two of the X-Men’s most iconic warriors. Not only are they producing an action figure of everyone favourite adamantium-clawed warrior, Wolverine (AKA Logan), but Jim Lee’s Cyclops (AKA Scott Summers) will soon be joining his mutant brethren on our shelves.
The press release images alone have been enough to excite millions of fans around the world and send them flocking to import vendors as they clamour to get their hands on both figures. Wolverine has already been made available for pre-order, however, Cyclops has only just been confirmed for a January 2020 release and is only available to pre-order from certain vendors as of press time.
Cyclops will arrive in his classic yellow-and-blue costume from Marvel’s “X-Men” comics and will leap into Medicom’s MAFEX action figure line-up! He will stand at 14.5cm tall, and thanks to Mafex’s traditional abundance of articulation will be insanely poseable, especially with the three changeable heads which feature multiple plasma blast accessories.
This news will delight millions of X-Men fans around the world. With the sale of 20th Century Fox to Disney now complete and the future of the X-Men brand destined to fall into the lap of Marvel chief Kevin Feige, the MCU is going to be exploding with awesome characters, and amongst them will be the X-Men.
Cyclops is expected to arrive at import vendors in January 2020.
