Star Wars Celebration Returning to Anaheim in 2020

Lucasfilm confirms the biggest event in the Star Wars Calendar will be returning to California

During the closing ceremony of Star Wars Celebration 2019, stage host Warwick Davis and his fantastic stage team re-enacted the passing of the Death Star plans to reveal the destination of Star Wars Celebration 2020. Thankfully, the biggest Star Wars convention of the year won’t be taking a year off like last time and will be heading back to one of the conventions most stunning venues.

Star Wars Celebration will be back in 2020 and will return to Anaheim, where the convention was held in 2015.

Despite rumours of the movie franchise taking a brief hiatus following the release of Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker this December, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy has assured fans that her team have been working tirelessly to set the stage for the next ten years of the franchise which will include several new live-action TV shows, animated series and all-new trilogies from Rian Johnson and Game of Thrones producers David Benioff and D.B Weiss.

It is certainly possible that Lucasfilm will build Star Wars Celebration 2020 around the reveal of these hotly anticipated projects which will be more than enough to excite every fan making the long pilgrimage to Anaheim.

Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker (Trailer)

This year fans were treated to reveal panels for new projects like Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, Vader Immortal and Jon Favreau’s highly anticipated first ever live-action television series The Mandalorian. These reveals were bolstered by the twentieth-anniversary celebration of Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace.

Anaheim 2020 has a lot to live up to but with these exciting projects, all heading our way in the next few years exciting times lie ahead for Lucasfilm and Star Wars fans alike.
