The beloved futuristic Batman series is finally heading to Blu-Ray this October
Batman Beyond is finally getting a remastered release to commemorate the landmark series’ 20th Anniversary. Batman Beyond: The Complete Animated Series will arrive on digital download on October 15th and Blu-Ray on October 29th as a limited-edition set.

Spread across 4 discs, the set has been confirmed as having 2 discs of bonus content along with the beloved animated movie Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker. If that isn’t enough to get us excited, the set also boasts 15 featurettes about the series. Four of the core episodes will receive the audio commentary treatment from executive producer Bruce Timm and members of the production team.

Of the 52 episodes, 41 have been fully remastered from the original 35mm film ensuring the very best quality of conversions to high definition. Sadly, the final 11 episodes have been damaged over time but have been “smart rezzed”, resulting in better image quality than the original print but not as pure as the remastered episodes.

The news emerged from the Batman Beyond 20th Anniversary reunion panel at San Diego Comic-Con.
