Annlyel reveals her top five best moments from the all-new trailer for The Mandalorian
Simply judging by the various pictures released for The Mandalorian I knew this new live-action Disney+ series was going to be impressive but it wasn’t until I saw the trailer that I realized just how amazing this show would be. Gritty, violent, and destined to delight, The Mandalorian is everything I have ever wanted in a series featuring bounty hunters. Of course, I haven’t seen the show yet and, with poor writers, it could be an underwhelming experience, but as of right now, I’m riding the waves of my elation.
While there were many fantastic moments in this trailer here are the five moments that stood out to me the most.
1. The Stormtrooper Helmets on the Pikes
The trailer begins with a startling realization that this isn’t going to be like other Star Wars stories we’ve seen before as we see a bunch of bloodied and dirty stormtrooper helmets raised on pikes. The dark and brutal tone for the series is instantly set with this fascinating beginning to the trailer.
2. A New Planet
The Mandalorian‘s ship Razor Crest is seen flying over a visually appealing arid terrain that’s cracked like a brownie. Ever since I was a little girl the beautiful and mesmerizing planets of this franchise have dazzled me and even as an adult, seeing new worlds always fills me with unbridled joy.
3. Don’t Mess With This IG Unit!
With the music and action crescendoing in the trailer we get a dazzling display of an IG unit handling his business as he takes down enemy after enemy after enemy in mere seconds. Um, these action scenes are going to be off the chain.
4. The Standoff
As someone who has been a fan of Westerns since I was little seeing this series featuring an Old Western tone is nothing short of thrilling. Towards the end of the trailer, we see The Mandalorian taking on a group of battered and bloodied stormtroopers and every time this point of the trailer arrives I practically jump out of my seat with barely contained excitement.
5. The Poor Carbonite Victims
The brutality of the bounty hunter world is on full display in this scintillating teaser and just to make things even cooler! we see a row of unlucky victims who have been frozen in carbonite. It is such a fascinating moment in the trailer and I’m counting down the days until I can see this series in full.
The Mandalorian is going to be so good!
