Marvel maestro Kevin Feige confirms that Deadpool will officially join the MCU in the r-rated Marvel Studios threequel
Deadpool will officially join the Marvel Cinematic Universe in Deadpool 3. Despite focussing primarily on WandaVision, Marvel guru Kevin Feige stopped for a chat with Collider and touched on the future of the MCU. Especially Deadpool.

With Deadpool 3 now officially beneath the Marvel Studios umbrella, fans are concerned about a watered-down Merc with a Mouth. But Kevin Feige has confirmed that Deadpool 3 will be R-rated. What’s more, he also confirmed that the threequel will officially be a part of the MCU.
“It will be rated R and we are working on a script right now, and Ryan’s overseeing a script right now.”
Production
Feige also touched upon when we can expect to see Ryan Reynolds in costume again. And although there a no plans to begin shooting this year, Feige says they want to get Deadpool’s MCU debut just right:
“It will not be filming this year. Ryan is a very busy, very successful actor. We’ve got a number of things we’ve already announced that we now have to make, but it’s exciting for it to have begun. Again, a very different type of character in the MCU, and Ryan is a force of nature, which is just awesome to see him bring that character to life.”

This is wonderful news. And it’s the first update we’ve heard about Deadpool for some time. And it’s refreshing to hear Feige commit to getting the character right for his debut. Thankfully, with the script being written as we speak we can expect more news to arrive sooner rather than later.
