Review | Star Wars: The Bad Batch (Episode 12: Rescue On Ryloth)

This week, we are back with The Bad Batch as they work to rescue Hera’s parents. This series doesn’t disappoint!

It’s Friday, so it’s time for our weekly dose of Star Wars: The Bad Batch! This week’s episode is untitled ‘Rescue on Ryloth.’

THE STORY

‘Rescue on Ryloth’ is a direct follow-up to last week’s episode. That episode helped to set up what happens in this one. For example, we understand Captain Howzer‘s decision because of what he saw last week. I’m intrigued by this storyline of basic clones doubting the authority of the Empire. So I do hope that at some point, the show will come back on Ryloth to continue developing this story.

Howzer made an impression with the fandom. I believe there is even potential for an animated movie about the rebellion on Ryloth. There is a lot to say there.

This week, we are back to focusing on The Bad Batch as they work with Hera to rescue her parents. Omega and Hera working together were one of the highlights of this episode. Hopefully, these two will meet again because they were a great team in this episode. I loved seeing them lead the mission. I can’t talk about this episode without mentioning Chopper! He always brings the fun.

CROSSHAIR VS CLONE FORCE 99

Since their explosive reunion in episode 8, Crosshair has been waiting to see his brothers again. Though, he always fails at stopping them. They don’t meet in this episode but both know they are here. I love the tension building up. It’s a game of cat and mouse. I think everyone is waiting for the big confrontation and whether the Batch will be able to save Crosshair. It could be quite an emotional season finale if that’s where we are going with these final season 1 episodes!
