Mark the date in calendars because Marvel’s Hawkeye meets Kate Bishop on Disney Plus this November!
After the monumental success of Loki, all eyes are on Hawkeye to become the next major streaming series. We’ve heard rumors for a while that the series would be released later in 2021. And today, we have confirmation. What’s more, thanks to an exclusive sneak-peek from EW, we are allowed to witness the meeting between Clint Barton and Marvel fan favorite, Kate Bishop.
Marvel Studios’ official Twitter page confirmed a release date for the series as Wednesday, November 24, 2021. This means Marvel’s latest and greatest will see us through the first of the cold winter months and safely into the premiere of The Book Of Boba Fett. But there’s more. EW also published an enjoyable interview with Jeremy Renner about his return to the MCU and his fateful meeting with Kate Bishop.
“[Kate is] a 22-year-old kid and she’s a big Hawkeye fan,” Renner told EW. “She has a wonderfully annoying and equally charming manner about her, because she’s such a fangirl of Hawkeye. The relationship grows from that, but the biggest problem for Clint is Kate Bishop and the onslaught of problems that she brings into his life.”
Bishop’s debut in the MCU has been a long time coming. The character made her comic book debut in the Young Avengers series and quickly became a firm fan favorite. Especially after taking over the Hawkeye mantle following Barton’s passing. But through the magic of comics, Barton was resurrected and both he and Bishop teamed up in a battle for the ages. Throughout the comics’ three-year run Barton and Bishop taught each other about the perils of crime-fighting. And from the looks of things, the live-action series will be following a similar pattern.
But now, fans can look forward to seeing what Bishop can do when Hailee Steinfeld slips into the iconic costume this November. The series will officially launch on November, 24th with new episodes releasing every Wednesday thereafter. Wednesdays really are the new Fridays on Disney Plus!
