The Book Of Boba Fett Is Luke Skywalker On Tatooine

Is Luke Skywalker‘s first Jedi temple on Tatooine in The Book Of Boba Fett?

The latest episode of The Book of Boba Fett was one for the ages. While the episode did not include one shot of the title character, Boba Fett (there was just a mention thanks to Fennec Shand) it did feature a whole lot of Mando. In fact, there was so much Mando, it felt like The Mandalorian‘s third season just started; completely hijacking the series that we had been watching for the past four weeks. But the hijacking turned out to be a great development for the series which, as a whole, was becoming a bit redundant. There were some standout moments, for sure, but overall The Book of Boba Fett was becoming something that I was losing investment in.

GROGU REUNION!

Now, I’m as invested as ever. We’ve only got two episodes left and that means a lot needs to be wrapped up. The war between Boba and the Pykes, which has slowly begun to churn in the last four episodes, is about to begin. Mando was hired to help take them on. But he has one more thing to do first, he wants to see Grogu. Of course, that got me thinking.

We don’t know much about Luke Skywalker post-Return of the Jedi. We know he and Lando Calrissian were, at some point, on a mission to find the two Sith Wayfinders that would lead them to Exegol. Where Palpatine was being marinated back to half-life. We know he eventually created a Jedi academy of sorts which was eventually destroyed by his nephew, Ben Solo. And we know that, after the destruction of his academy and his students along with it, he fled to Ahch-To where he wouldn’t be found again until the end of The Force Awakens.

TATOOINE TRAINING?

But apparently, there’s another section of his story that now needs to be unearthed; his time with Grogu. Mando wants to see Grogu again and that means he has to go find him. What if Luke Skywalker’s first temple of sorts was on Tatooine? It makes quite a lot of sense if you think about it. It was there on Tatooine that his story began as well as his father’s. The Skywalker legacy is tied to that planet. Even Rey, who adopted the Skywalker name, returned to Tatooine to bury the Skywalker lightsabers at the Lars homestead.

What if we see Luke Skywalker taking refuge in Obi-Wan’s old home atop the hill? The level of nostalgia that would bring would blow Star Wars fans’ minds, for sure. Of course, Mando may go to another planet entirely but just think about it, The show has stayed primarily on Tatooine so it’s very possible this could happen. And if it does, that would be so cool. In fact, if we see Luke Skywalker again that’s cool.
