After two wonderful seasons, Joseph Shirley has replaced Ludwig Göransson as the composer of The Mandalorian’s third season
With the third season of The Mandalorian just weeks away, Film Music Reporter has confirmed that Joseph Shirley has replaced Ludwig Göransson as the show’s main composer. Göransson has been on hand to oversee the soundtracks for the previous seasons but passed the torch for The Book Of Boba Fett. And now, after supplying additional music for the earlier seasons as part of Göransson’s team, Shirley has stepped up to take the reins.
The collaboration worked famously on The Book Of Boba Fett, with Göransson supplying the themes and Shirley composing the overall soundtrack. And Jon Favreau and his team will be hoping the collaboration repeats its success on The Mandalorian.
After producing the score for Marvel’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Göransson has been busy scoring Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer. While Shirley has been busy crafting the score for Michael B. Jordan’s Creed III.
