Holy new figures, Batman! Citizens of Gotham beware because McFarlane Toys’ Batman 66 line is expanding again. And it promises to be epic! The awesome action figure line has already delivered wonderful action figure versions of The Riddler, The Joker, Two-Face, and Catwoman to menace the dynamic duo. But now, McFarlane Toys has shared our first look at Batgirl – yes Barbara Gordon’s caped crimefighter is finally making her debut in the new 6″ scale. And the face sculpt looks impressive. It’s not an exact likeness of Yvonne Craig, instead focussing more on her appearance in the Batman ’66 comic line. But that won’t dissuade the Bat-fans among us from pre-ordering her!
But let’s not get ahead of ourselves. Slide down the bat poles and explore this sensational new figure.

Sadly, McFarlane Toys has only dropped this first-look prototype image and have not confirmed any release dates. Although the figure is widely expected to drop as a Target exclusive in the States. But needless to say, this figure will shoot straight to the top of Batman 66 fans’ wishlists. And rightly so. Batgirl has been a long time coming. And I, for one will be rushing out to grab her and pose alongside the Dynamic Duo at my earliest convenience. It is a little disappointing that we won’t be getting a version of Yvonne Craig’s caped crime fighter in the line. But obviously, the late actor’s family must be onside for that to come to fruition. So fingers crossed we get her likeness on a figure sometime in the future.
