The Creator (2023) Review

This week on The Official Chart, Blue Beetle crawls back in, and we get more No Hard Feelings, but The Creator takes the top spot!

THE UK TOP TEN

This week, we are given one new entry and two re-entries into the chart placings. Having to relinquish their positions to accommodate these three titles, it’s the end of the road for Meg 2: The Trench, Indiana Jones And The Dial Of Destiny, and The Exorcist: Believer. But what are these new titles, and where have they entered the placings? Time to blast off and find out.

THE CREATOR DESTROYS THE OPPOSITION!

Sci-fi action film The Creator makes a Number 1 debut on the Official Film Chart. Entering at the top on only digital downloads, the film stars John David Washington as an ex-special forces agent, recruited to hunt down and kill ‘the Creator’, an elusive AI architect who has developed a mysterious weapon with the power to end the war between humans and the forces of artificial intelligence – and humankind itself. POIROT HAUNTS NUMBER 2!

Bouncing back to its previous peak is Poirot’s mystery A Haunting In Venice at Number 2. (Read our review here.)

MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE GETS BLOWN FROM THE TOP!

BLUE BEETLE SCUTTLES BACK INTO THE CHART!

This week’s biggest release on physical formats is DC Studios’ latest Blue Beetle, flying 12 places to Number 5 following its release on DVD, Blu-ray and 4K UHD. (Read our review here.)

GRAN TURISMO GETS A BOOST OF ACCELERATION!

MARIO DROPS AGAIN!

The former chart-topper The Super Mario Bros. Movie finishes at Number 7.

Rounding out the Top 10 this week is Jennifer Lawrence’s summer rom-com No Hard Feelings, making a re-entry at Number 10.
