Get ready, devoted fans of RAY HARRYHAUSEN! London’s iconic Regent Street Cinema is hosting a spectacular event to honor the legendary stop-motion pioneer. To commemorate the 60th Anniversary of Ray’s FIRST MEN IN THE MOON, the renowned cinema is presenting a special 4K screening of the film. Attendees will have the rare opportunity to experience the movie as it was initially meant to be seen. After the screening, a fascinating Q&A session will feature some exceptional guests. The Foundation trustee and author John Walsh, along with conservator Alan Friswell, will provide unique insights into the creation of the film.

Thanks, in part, to the Ray Harryhausen Titan Of Cinema exhibition at the National Gallery, which has now sadly closed its doors for the last time. But the event was an absolute triumph. A NEW EXHIBITION
However, fans haven’t missed their chance to experience Ray’s masterwork firsthand. We’re excited to announce that the Ray and Diana Foundation will collaborate with the Lauriston Gallery in Waterside, Sale, for an exciting new exhibition. The Lost Worlds of Ray Harryhausen: Creatures, Martians, and Myths will open to the public on Sat 26 October 2024 – Sat 4 Jan 2025. The exhibition will showcase a treasure trove of Ray’s finest work. The exhibition will feature rare and previously un-exhibited pre-production artwork for some of his classic and much-loved films.
The showcase will include Clash of the Titans, Jason and the Argonauts, and The 7th Voyage of Sinbad. Artwork ranging from early sketches to detailed key drawings will show the creative process behind his groundbreaking special effects.
