A TRIPLE THREAT OF NEW RELEASES TO TEMPT YOU!

With the top ten placings done and dusted for the week, we turn our attention to three new releases. The first is the emotional Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story. The film is a documentary following the legendary actor from his casting as the Man Of Steel, his devastating accident that left him paralysed, and his fight against the inevitable until his untimely death. Tissues are a necessity for this heartwrenching film that pays tribute to the actor himself as well as the human spirit he possessed. The film is available to buy on digital download for £13.99.

Our next offering is the highly-acclaimed and highly controversial The Apprentice. It is a biographical film that examines Donald Trump’s career as a real estate businessman in New York City in the 1970s and 1980s, as well as his relationship with attorney Roy Cohn. Sebastian Stan gives an outstanding performance as Trump with able support from Jeremy Strong as Cohn, Martin Donovan as Trump’s father Fred, and Maria Bakalova as Trump’s first wife, Ivana. If this is your kind of film, rent it for £15.99 or buy it for £19.99.

MEET JUROR #2!

The final offering is what could be the legendary Clint Eastwood’s final film. In Juror #2, Nicholas Hoult stars as a man serving on the jury of a high-profile murder trial who realizes that he may be responsible for the victim’s death. The strain and moral dilemma this places on him is the main focus of the film throughout. (Read our review here.) For some strange reason, Warner Bros. Pictures didn’t give the film a wide release in the USA, intending it to go straight to streaming. Thankfully, it did open in cinemas around the world, allowing audiences to see Eastwood back at his directorial best. If the film interests you, again, you can rent it for £15.99 or buy it early for £19.99.

Will any of the three releases manage to make it to the top spot next week? There’s only one way to find out. Check back next week as we continue our journey towards the festive season, so until then…

Whatever you decide, whatever you buy, stay safe, be kind, look after each other, and happy viewing!
