The Horror Section, a media company focused on creating the world’s premier genre brand, has announced the cast of horror auteur Eli Roth’s chilling new film, Ice Cream Man. The film stars Ari Millen (“Orphan Black”) as the titular character. The cast also includes Benjamin Byron Davis (Guardians of the Galaxy 3), Karen Cliche (Thanksgiving), Dylan Hawco (Heartland), Sarah Abbott (Black Mirror, Netflix’ The Body), Shiloh O’Reilly (Thanksgiving), Kiori Mirza Waldman, Charlie Zeltzer (“The Handmaid’s Tale”), and Charlie Storey (Thanksgiving).
THE CREW
Rounding out the cast is Roth himself, the visionary behind the Cabin Fever franchise, the Hostel franchise, and Thanksgiving. His other works include many cult classics. Roth is directing and producing the film; he also wrote the script with longtime collaborator Noah Belson. The script generated significant buzz at its Cannes market debut, selling out nearly the entire world. Media Capital Technologies’ (“MCT”) Christopher Woodrow and Raj Singh also produced alongside Cream Productions’ Kate Harrison. Executive producers include MCT’s Kevin Frakes, Connor DiGregorio, Eli Massillon, and Lorenzo Antonucci. The Horror Section’s Jon Schnaars and Holly Adams also serve as executive producers. Amping up the horror will be a score from Emmy Award®-winning composer Brandon Roberts. There is additional music by Snoop Dogg and horrifying prosthetic makeup effects by Steve Newburn (Thanksgiving) and Academy Award winner Adrien Morot (Thanksgiving, The Whale).
PREMISE
Ice Cream Man follows an idyllic summer town descending into madness when an ice cream man serves kids sweet delights with horrifying results. The film wrapped principal photography in September and is scheduled for a wide theatrical release in 2026.
STUDIOCANAL’S Sixth Dimension acquired distribution rights to the film across the UK and Ireland.
