M.I.A., the highly anticipated crime drama series, is from Emmy-nominated Bill Dubuque. He is the co-creator of Ozark. The show will premiere exclusively on Paramount+ in the UK on May 7.
The nine-episode series follows a young Etta Tiger Jonze (Shannon Gisela) who is restless in the Florida Keys. She dreams of a life in Miami’s glittering, subtropical kingdom. However, when her family’s drug-running business shatters in tragedy, Etta embarks on a dangerous journey through Miami’s neon-lit underbelly. This journey will define who she is. It will also show what she’s ultimately capable of.

Alongside Shannon Gisela (Strip Law), the cast includes Cary Elwes (Stranger Things), Danay Garcia (Fear the Walking Dead), Brittany Adebumola (Grand Army), Dylan Jackson (Godfather of Harlem), Alberto Guerra (Griselda), Maurice Compte (Narcos), Gerardo Celasco (The Waterfront), and Marta Milans (White Lines).
