The First Cast Members for Marvel Studios X-Men Have Been Revealed!

The Mutants are coming! Adam Driver, Kit Connor, Inde Navarrette, Maya Boyd, Samara Weaving, and Christopher Abbott are joining Sadie Sink in Marvel’s X-Men relaunch!
With a brand-new trailer for Avengers: Doomsday and the first footage from VisionQuest already sending the crowds at Disney’s D23 Expo into a frenzy, you’d be forgiven for thinking Marvel Studios had emptied its reveal vault. If that’s you, think again! Kevin Feige had one more enormous surprise up his sleeve, delivering a slam-bang finale to the Marvel Studios panel by officially unveiling the first wave of cast members for the MCU’s upcoming X-Men movie.
We’ve known for some time that casting has been heating up behind the scenes, particularly after Samara Weaving was revealed as Emma Frost. Then came the news that Sadie Sink will portray the MCU’s Jean Grey in Spider-Man: Brand New Day. But at D23, Feige finally brought some of their new mutant teammates into the spotlight. So, who are the next generation of X-Men?
TO ME, MY X-MEN!
To the surprise of absolutely nobody, Feige kicked things off by welcoming Inde Navarrette, officially confirming that she will play Rogue. Next up was Maya Boyd, who took to the stage to reveal that she will portray the legendary weather-controlling mutant Storm. Then came a major piece of the puzzle. Christopher Abbott was announced as the MCU’s new Charles Xavier, before Kit Connor was confirmed as the mutant team’s field leader, Scott Summers/Cyclops.
But Marvel wasn’t finished there.
In a suitably dramatic final reveal, Adam Driver appeared via video message to announce that he has joined the cast as the film’s villain — and it’s a character X-Men fans have been desperate to see brought into the MCU. Driver will portray Nathaniel Milbury, better known as the chilling Mister Sinister!
And just like that, Marvel has officially thrown open the doors to the mutant world. Check out the full reveal below and prepare yourself for what’s coming.

If you thought that was the complete roster, think again. Feige was quick to confirm that casting is still very much underway, with plenty of major roles yet to be filled. That means even more mutants could be stepping out of the shadows in the coming weeks and months. And with a May 5, 2028 release date locked in, Marvel has plenty of time to assemble this extraordinary new team.
