THE UK TOP TEN
This week sees four new entries hit the chart placings. But what are these new titles, where have they entered, and have they managed to snag the top spot? Let’s go to infinity and beyond again as we find out.
(1) TOY STORY 5
Toy Story 5 holds tight at Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, securing a second consecutive week at the summit. Disney and Pixar’s latest adventure sees Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie and the gang confronted with a very modern challenge when Bonnie receives Lilypad, a brand-new smart tablet with her own ideas about what is best for her. As technology begins to take over playtime, the toys are forced to question where they fit into Bonnie’s changing world.
(2) OBSESSION
The supernatural horror movie Obsession holds at Number 2.
(3) MINIONS & MONSTERS
The animated adventure Minions & Monsters remains at Number 3.
(4) MICHAEL
Former chart-topper Michael also remains steady at Number 4.
(5) JACKASS-BEST AND LAST
Leading a wave of four new entries this week is Jackass: Best and Last, which crashes straight in at Number 5. Johnny Knoxville, Steve-O, Chris Pontius and the rest of the Jackass crew reunite for one final round of outrageous stunts, pranks and self-inflicted chaos, mixing brand-new antics with previously unseen footage from across the franchise’s 25-year history.
(6) THE SUPER MARIO GALAXY MOVIE
The Super Mario Galaxy Movie climbs one place to Number 6.
(7) BATMAN-KNIGHTFALL PART 1: KNIGHTFALL
Another new release arrives at Number 7 with Batman: Knightfall Part 1 – Knightfall. Based on DC’s iconic Knightfall comic-book storyline, the animated adventure sees Arkham Asylum destroyed and its inmates unleashed across Gotham City. As Batman races to recapture some of his most notorious enemies, he is pushed to his physical and mental limits before coming face-to-face with a formidable new threat: Bane.
(8) STAR WARS: THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU
Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu drops three places to Number 8 this week.
(9) EVIL DEAD BURN
Evil Dead Burn makes its Official Film Chart debut at Number 9. The latest chapter in the long-running horror franchise follows a grieving woman who seeks refuge with her late husband’s family at their secluded home, only for the reunion to descend into a nightmare when members of the family begin transforming into terrifying Deadites.
(10) THE SHEEP DETECTIVES
Finally, The Sheep Detectives rounds out this week’s Top 10 with a Number 10 debut. Hugh Jackman stars as George, a shepherd who spends his evenings reading murder mysteries aloud to his flock, unaware that they understand every word. When a mysterious incident rocks their farm, the sheep decide to put everything they have learned to the test and investigate the human suspects themselves.
