The continuing voyages of Discovery move closer to the Original Series in season two
Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 will be unleashed on Jan. 18th and the second voyage of the Netflix original series will bring us closer to Star Trek: The Original Series than ever before, with the inclusion of vintage characters Spock and Captain Christopher Pike portrayed by Ethan Peck and Anson Mount respectively. Other new additions to the cast in Season 2 are Rebecca Romijn as Captain Pike’s Number One, and Tig Notaro as Chief Engineer Denise Reno.
IGN has managed to secure our first look at the all-new character posters for the upcoming space spectacular which showcase the heroes of season two in stellar fashion. These stunning posters feature Spock and Pike alongside Commander Michael Burnham (Sonequa Martin-Green), Commander Saru (Doug Jones), Ensign Sylvia Tilly (Mary Wiseman), Lt. Commander Paul Stamets (Anthony Rapp), and his lost love Dr. Hugh Culber (Wilson Cruz), and Michelle Yeoh’s former Mirror Universe Emperor Philippa Georgiou.
The final frontier is a lot closer than you think and the adventures of the starship Enterprise are set to boldly go where no one has gone before…
Star Trek: Discovery Season 2 premieres Jan. 17 on CBS All Access in the US and Jan. 18 on Netflix internationally.
