The battle for supremacy is about to begin.

The recent trailers for this summer’s highly-anticipated sequel Godzilla: King Of The Monsters have teased us with the emergence of three of Godzilla‘s greatest foe’s in Rodan, Mothra and King Ghidorah. Until now, these trailers and TV Spots have offered us fleeting glimpses of the spectacle we are set to enjoy when the movie is unleashed next month, but all that is about to change.

The King of the Monsters Reigns Supreme in the latest Poster for Godzilla

Warner Bros. and Legendary Pictures have unleashed an epic new “Final Trailer” for Michael Dougherty’s monster smackdown which details the world changing return of the Titans. King Ghidorah’s emergence has awakened a plethora of monstrous creatures from the depths of the earth which all recognise the three-headed monster as their alpha.

With at least seventeen monsters concealed around the world, the world turns to the mighty Godzilla to act as our protector. However, instead of relying on the Kaiju to fight the horde on his own, humanity rallies for an all-out assault on the colossal monsters in what will ultimately decide the fate of the entire planet.

Just wow. This new trailer is breathtaking and spoils us with the majesty of what appears to be a visual treat for the eyes. Dougherty deserves to be applauded for his efforts. Gareth Edwards raised the bar for monster movies with his incredibly immersive, character-driven blockbuster but Michael Dougherty looks set to emulate his successor with this truly stellar sequel. The iconography of this trailer is sure to excite every MonsterVerse fan around the world and with Godzilla Vs Kong pencilled in for next year the age of monsters is well and truly here to stay.

Bring it on.

Godzilla: King Of The Monsters takes on the box office from May 31st.
