The official synopsis for Spider-Man: No Way Home teases the ramifications of revealing Peter Parker’s true identity!
Although every inch of the new Spider-Man No Way Hometeaser has been investigated; we are still in the dark as to what to expect from the threequel. After Loki and Sylvie triggered the birth of the Multiverse, it was easy for us to assume that this is how the classic Spidey villains arrive in the MCU. But today’s teaser pretty much throws that idea out of the window.
A MULTIVERSE CRISIS
The season finale of Loki presented us with the formation of a cosmic crisis. A fracture in time that would facilitate the birth of the Multiverse forcing multiple universes to collide in all-out war. But the new teaser practically side-stepped that storyline and instead, presented us with Doctor Strange casting a spell to force humanity to forget Spider-Man’s true identity. With drastic ramifications. Sounds simple, right?
Wrong. Just hours after the teaser blew up the internet; Sony Pictures dropped the official synopsis for the movie confirming that the storyline will be far more layered than the trailer reveals. In fact, the plot will revolve heavily around the duality of Peter Parker’s life as both a teenager and the crime-fighting web-slinger. Check it out below:
“For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.”
FALLOUT
From the sounds of the synopsis, Peter Parker may be about to face his ultimate test. One where the perils of being Spider-Man threaten to derail his fledgling romance with MJ. And the inclusion of Doc Ock, Electro, and the Green Goblin may hint at the formation of the sinister six. Oh, the possibilities!
Moreover, with rumors swirling that Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield are returning as their incarnations of the wall-crawler; Peter Parker may be in for the fight of his life. But either way, one thing is for sure, we are going to learn more about Peter Parker in the threequel than ever before. And that is a tantalizing prospect. Now if we could only see Madame Web pop up to throw a spanner in the works and add to the chaos. But maybe that hoping for too much!
