Lieutenant Ortegas Takes The Helm Of The Enterprise in New Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Promo

Lieutenant Ortegas proves her piloting skills and joins the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the newest promo for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is warping towards its release on Paramount Plus. The series, which follows the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike launches on the platform on May 5. And eager to ensure we are suitably excited, the streamer has given the order to launch the promo campaign with an injection of impulse power.
Today, the streamer has debuted a third new character promo. Just hours after we were introduced to Cadet Nyota Uhura and Lieutenant La’An, it’s time to meet Lieutenant Ortegas. The new helmsman of the U.S.S. Enterprise is ready to prove herself and it appears she’ll have her work cut out. Check out the promo below.

It’s always a pleasure to see new additions to the crew of the Enterprise. And Ortegas has some big shoes to fill. Assuming the post of Hikaru Sulu is a daunting challenge. But she looks more than up to the task. And with the series looking this good Strange New Worlds has already cemented itself as the must-see TV event of the year.
Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.
The series premieres on Paramount+ in the US on May 5, 2022.
