Star Trek Strange New Worlds Hemmer

Hemmer takes command of engineering and joins the crew of the U.S.S. Enterprise in the newest promo for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is warping towards its release on Paramount Plus. The series, which follows the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike launches on the platform on May 5. And eager to ensure we are suitably excited, the streamer has given the order to launch the promo campaign with an injection of impulse power. What started as a juicy sneak preview has grown into a fully-fledged promotional campaign with almost EVERY character being featured.

And today, the streamer has debuted a fourth new character expose. Just hours after we were introduced to Cadet Nyota Uhura and Lieutenant La’An, and Lieutenant Ortegas; it’s time to meet Hemmer. The new chief engineer of the U.S.S. Enterprise is ready to showcase his genius and it appears he’ll fit right in. Check out the promo below.

It’s always a pleasure to see new additions to the crew of the Enterprise. And Hemmer has some big (prequel) shoes to fill. Assuming the post of Montgomery Scott is a daunting challenge. But the Aenar looks more than up to the task. And with the series looking this good Strange New Worlds has already cemented itself as the must-see TV event of the year.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.

The series premieres on Paramount+ in the US on May 5, 2022.
