Smash your surroundings as Sakaaran Champion Hulk, or destroy them as Hela Odinsdottir! The Fortnite x Thor Ragnorok characters have arrived!
The hotly anticipated new Fortnite x Thor Ragnarok collaboration has emerged from the Bifrost. Recently announced, the latest collaboration brings two new characters to the battlefield in Fortnite. Firstly, the Grand Master has summoned his champion, Sakaaran Champion Hulk. Bruce Banner’s alter ego was held captive by the Grand Master and forced to fight in the Sakaaran Battle Arena. Now, the gamma radiation has unleashed his ferocity in Fortnite.
But that’s not all, as Epic Games has also added Hela Odinsdottir, Thor and Loki’s vengeful sister. In the movie, Hela rises from the underworld to seek revenge against her father, Odin. She is now bringing her quest to Fortnite and her trusty Necrosword.
SAKAARAN CHAMPION HULK
The powerful Hulk appears in Fortnite’s Chapter 5 Season 2 map with a brand new skin. Ready for action, Hulk is donning his armor from his arena battles in Thor Ragnarok. The armor includes a detachable helmet, shoulder armor, sandals, and wrist gauntlets. But that’s not all, as the champion of the Grand Masters also has his own Sakkarran Scrap gun wrap. Completing the set is Hulk’s arena weaponry. In addition to his back-mounted shield, Hulk wields his Sakaaran Axe and Hammer – a set of weapons used in the film in his duel with Thor.
HELA ODDINSDOTTIR
Hela, the vengeful antagonist from the movie, is now available on the map. Along with her traditional outfit from the film, Hela has a secondary skin that features her attire from the movie’s early scenes before she reclaims her powers. The skin bears a reasonable resemblance to Cate Blanchett, the actress who portrays Hela in the film. Hela will arrive on the map with her customary cape and Necrosword, ready to dispatch any unsuspecting victims who cross her path.
RELEASE
These new characters are amazing and only scratch the surface of the latest Disney x Fortnite collaboration. After Disney’s massive $1.5 billion investment in Epic Games, fans eagerly awaited to see which characters from Disney’s vast catalog would make their way into the games. And now, it seems like we have our answer. Recently, characters from X-Men ’97 and Disney Pixar’s Cars franchise have entered Rocket League. A few weeks ago, new Guardians of the Galaxy characters were added to Fortnite. Additionally, a new Star Wars collaboration featuring famous characters such as Chewbacca and the Death Trooper is set to arrive on May 3rd. Moreover, the leaked roadmap for the rest of the year suggests a new Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean collaboration will arrive in July.
Finally, during the recent investment reveal, Disney showcased a pipeline collaboration featuring characters from James Cameron’s Avatar franchise. The deal is reportedly a multi-year project, so expect the Disney takeover to be here for decades. But first, fans can take the fight to their friends as Hela and Sakaaran Hulk, which is exciting!
The Fortnite x Thor Ragnarok collaboration is now available for purchase in the item shop. Sakaaran Champion Hulk costs 2,000 V-Bucks, while Hela is priced at 1,800 V-Bucks. Playing as these powerful characters from the Marvel Cinematic Universe is an exciting opportunity that is definitely worth the cost.
