THE WEEK’S BIGGEST TITLES

This week sees a single new entry and two re-entries into the placings. As always, we must lose titles to make room, and this week sees the departure of Venom: The Last Dance, The Wild Robot, and Heretic. But what are these replacement titles and where have they entered? And what is occupying the top spot? Grab your swords as we find out.

GLADIATOR II RETURNS TO THE TOP OF THE CHART ARENA!

Gladiator II soars back up to Number 1 this week following its release on disc. Now available on DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K UHD, Gladiator II marks its third non-consecutive week at Number 1 in the UK, soaring 17 places back to the top of the Official Film Chart. It originally debuted at Number 1 for 2 weeks on its original release in January.

WICKED FLIES BACK UP THE CHART!

Wicked is back on the rise at Number 2.

SONIC LOSES HIS CHART SPEED!

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 drops two places following its Number 1 debut last week to Number 3.

PADDINGTON SAILING AWAY TO PERU!

Former chart-topper Paddington in Peru slips two places to Number 4.

MOANA 2 IS STILL STUCK ON A CHART ROCK!

Moana 2 holds at Number 5.

MUFASA’S ROAR IS WEAKENING!

CONCLAVE GOING BACK INTO SECLUSION!

Political thriller Conclave earns a 10th consecutive week in the Top 10 at Number 7.

DUNE PART TWO GETS BLOWN BACK UP THE CHART AGAIN!

Dune: Part Two bounces back up one place to Number 8.

THE WAR OF THE ROHIRRIM FINALLY COMES TO THE CHART!

Entering the Top 10 for the first time this week is the Anime fantasy film Lord of the Rings: War of the Rohirrim – based on characters created by J.R.R. Tolkien and set around 200 years before the events of the live-action Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit series – which rockets 27 places to Number 9.

ANORA RETURNS, CLUTCHING HER FIVE OSCARS!

Finally, the comedy-drama film Anora, starring Mikey Madison, returns to the Top 10 following its five Oscar wins (including Best Picture) last week at Number 10. It previously peaked at Number 6 in February.

THE CHART COULD GET A REAL PAIN!

That’s all, folks, at least for this week. However, if none of the ten top titles appeal to you, you could always try this week’s PVOD offering of A Real Pain. The film won Kieran Culkin the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor at last weekend’s ceremony. It tells the story of mismatched cousins who reunite for a Jewish heritage tour through Poland in honour of their late grandmother, but their old tensions resurface against the backdrop of their family history. The comedy-drama is available to rent for £15.99 or to buy early for £19.99.
