Hulu and Disney+ have released the first trailer and a new poster for Noah Hawley’s Alien Earth, which will be available to stream this summer.
In space, nobody can hear you scream…but what about on Earth? We are just two months away from the continuation of the Alien franchise when Noah Hawley’s Alien: Earth arrives on Hulu and Disney+. The 8-episode series will launch with a special two-episode premiere on Tuesday, August 12, and the studio has finally delivered the first trailer for the show. If you were looking for a thrilling ride filled with Facehuggers and Xenomorphs, you’re in luck because the trailer totally nails it.
The series serves as a prequel that takes place two years before the original 1979 Alien movie, which is most welcome, especially after last summer’s Alien: Romulus. The film marked a triumphant return for the franchise, re-energizing the series with new vigor. But before we start rubbing elbows with the Facehuggers, check out the teaser below.
THE CAST
What a phenomenal new trailer. The series promises to be a landmark piece of television when it debuts on Hulu and Disney+ in August. Noah Hawley has put together a fantastic cast, one that will carry this bold chapter forward. The cast includes Sydney Chandler, Timothy Olyphant, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav.
Sydney Chandler portrays the meta-human character Wendy in “Alien: Earth.” Wendy has the body of an adult but the brain and consciousness of a child. Her co-stars include Essie Davis as Dame Silvia, Alex Lawther as a soldier named CJ, and Samuel Blenkin as a CEO named Boy Kavalier. Adarsh Gourav plays a character named Slightly, while Kit Young portrays Tootles. Timothy Olyphant (from “The Mandalorian“) plays Kirsh, a synth who serves as a mentor and trainer for Wendy.
The cast also includes Babou Ceesay, Jonathan Ajayi, Erana James, Lily Newmark, Diêm Camille, Adrian Edmondson, Moe Bar-El, and David Rysdahl. However, details about their characters have not been disclosed yet. Sandra Yi Sencindiver from “Foundation” will appear in multiple episodes as a senior member of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation.
Additionally, Richa Moorjani, Karen Aldridge, Enzo Cilenti, Max Rinehart, Amir Boutrous, newcomer Victoria Masoma, Tom Moya, Andy Yu, Michael Smiley, Jamie Bisping, and Tanapol Chuksrida have also been cast in guest roles.

NEW POSTERS
If the trailer isn’t enough to have you signing up for the Colonial Marines, FX has also shared two brand new posters for the show. The first is a classic Disney+ one-sheet featuring the face of the Xenomorph. The second, however, features the haunting image of a Facehugger wrapping itself around the Earth. Check them out below.

THE SERIES
Alien: Earth has the following synopsis: “When a mysterious space vessel crash-lands on Earth, a young woman (Sydney Chandler) and a ragtag group of tactical soldiers make a fateful discovery that puts them face-to-face with the planet’s greatest threat.”
The series is set in 2120, just two years before the events of Ridley Scott‘s original Alien film. Along with the release of the Xenomorphs on Earth, the show will delve into the origins of the Weyland-Yutani Corporation and the intense competition to develop android life. The show’s cast features Sydney Chandler, Alex Lawther, Samuel Blenkin, Essie Davis, and Adarsh Gourav. Timothy Olyphant joins them in a prominent role, rounding out the main lineup. Take a look at the stunning new poster below.
