The first trailer and poster for Disney’s Hexed arrive from the witches’ cauldron. Cast your spell and get your first look here.
Double, double toil and trouble. Disney has unveiled the first trailer and poster for its 65th animated feature, Hexed. As the name suggests, the film is a mystical adventure and an all-new magical coming-of-age saga following an unconventional teenage girl called Billie. When Billie accidentally unleashes secret magical abilities, she’s hurtled out of suburbia and into a magical realm called Hexe, a place where witchcraft is the norm. But as her journey unfolds, she discovers family mysteries that could change the magical world of witches forever.
The film isn’t emerging from the cauldron and into cinemas this November. But that isn’t stopping Disney from casting its spell and getting fans suitably excited. The trailer features some superb animation, colorful characters, and some incredible world-building. Plus, with Hailee Steinfeld providing the voice of Billie, the film has all the hallmarks of an instant classic. But before we conjure delusions of grandeur, cast your spell and watch the trailer below.
THE FILM
The first trailer and poster for Disney’s “Hexed,” an all-new magical coming-of-age saga releasing in cinemas November 27, are now available. The original animated film is Walt Disney Animation Studios’ 65th animated feature.
Joining previously announced voice cast members Hailee Steinfeld and Rashida Jones are seven-time Emmy Award® winner Tracey Ullman (“The Tracey Ullman Show,” “Tracey Takes On…,” “Bullets Over Broadway,” “Robin Hood: Men in Tights”) who voices the enchanted feather quill pen Ms. Quill, and Stephen Fry (“The Interrogator,” “The Hobbit” trilogy, “Gosford Park,” “Jeeves and Wooster,” “V for Vendetta”) as the magical journal Elias Quire.
The new trailer introduces the impulsive and unconventional teenage girl Billie (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) and her cautious mother Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones). When Billie accidentally unleashes secret magical abilities, she’s hurtled out of suburbia and into a magical realm called Hexe, where she’s greeted by Ms. Quill (voiced by Tracey Ullman) and Elias Quire (voiced by Stephen Fry). As Billie’s spectacle-filled journey unfolds, she discovers family mysteries that could change the magical world of witches forever.
Disney’s “Hexed” is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand, co-directed by Josie Trinidad, and produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino. The film opens exclusively in cinemas November 27, 2026.
POSTER
If the spellbinding first trailer isn’t enough to lure you down the witches’ road, Disney has also unveiled the film’s first poster. The stunning one-sheet places Billie front and center as she begins to discover the true extent of her magical abilities.
Bathed in vibrant shades of purple and pink, the artwork offers a breathtaking glimpse into the film’s enchanting world, showcasing picturesque landscapes and whimsical fantasy awaiting audiences. Rich in color and atmosphere, the poster perfectly captures the sense of wonder, mystery, and magic at the heart of Hexed. Check it out below.

RELEASE
What a delightfully eerie trailer. While Disney’s traditional animated offerings have often steered clear of witchcraft and darker fantasy themes, Hexed looks set to embrace them wholeheartedly. It’s a bold creative swing for the studio, but one that appears to be paying off spectacularly. From its haunting visuals to its enchanting atmosphere, the film already looks like something truly special. If this first glimpse is any indication, Hexed could be one of Disney’s most daring and visually striking projects in years—and we can’t wait to lose ourselves in its spellbinding darkness.
