Brad Pitt gets to the Heart Of The Beast while we get some Sense & Sensibility with the new releases at the cinema this week.
This week at the cinema, two big releases may give Resident Evil a run for its (blood) money at the box office. If you’re in the mood for an emotional, thrilling, dramatic film that will leave you in floods of tears, Brad Pitt stars in Heart Of The Beast. For those in the mood for a romantic drama/ comedy, they can get their fix with the remake of Sense & Sensibility. With Avengers: Endgame-Encore and more also opening, there’s plenty for cinephiles to enjoy.
HEART OF THE BEAST
Paramount Pictures-Released Wednesday, 23rd September
Synopsis: After surviving a plane crash, a former special forces soldier finds himself trapped in the unforgiving Alaskan wilderness with his combat dog. Together, they battle the elements and other animals in a harsh landscape that would likely kill any other man or dog.

We saw the film early, and we were blown away with the emotion the film contains. I said in my review:
“David Ayer’s Heart Of The Beast is a moving, emotional, and dramatic tale. Brad Pitt is great, but it’s Odin the dog who steals the show. It is an age-old story of man and beast against the elements, a survival story that grips and never lets go. Sadly, a poor CGI recreation of a bear lets the film down slightly, but it is a minor quibble in something that leaves us wrung out emotionally by the time the end credits roll. A simple story, told and acted superbly. When I said you’d need tissues by the climax, I wasn’t joking. Dog lovers are in for a rough time during the final twenty minutes. It is pure emotion, something that has us hiding our leaking eyes from the rest of the audience.”
