Christine Chapel Returns To The U.S.S Enterprise in New Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Promo

Star Trek Strange New Worlds Christine Chapel

Nurse Christine Chapel brings a burst of energy to sickbay in the newest promo for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is warping towards its release on Paramount Plus. The series, which follows the adventures of Captain Christopher Pike launches on the platform on May 5. And eager to ensure we are suitably excited, the streamer has given the order to launch the promo campaign with an injection of impulse power. What started as a juicy sneak preview has grown into a fully-fledged promotional campaign with almost EVERY character being featured.

And today, the streamer has debuted a sixth new character expose. Just hours after we were introduced to Cadet Nyota Uhura and Lieutenant La’An; Lieutenant Ortegas, Hemmer, and Dr. M’Benga, it’s time to welcome back another old friend. Nurse Christine Chapel is back to begin her first tour of duty aboard the starship Enterprise.

Check out the promo below.

BEDSIDE MANNER

It’s always a pleasure to see characters from The Original Series make a welcome return. And Nurse Chapel can count herself among them. It’s been a while since we saw Christine Chapel in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home and it’s great to see her back in sickbay. But following in the footsteps of the great Majel Barrett is a major challenge for any actor. But Jess Bush looks like she’s enjoying the challenge.  And with the series looking this good Strange New Worlds has already cemented itself as the must-see TV event of the year.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds stars Anson Mount as Captain Pike, Rebecca Romjin as Number One, and Ethan Peck as Spock. Joining them are Jess Bush as Nurse Christine Chapel, Christina Chong as La’an Noonien-Singh, Celia Rose Gooding as Cadet Nyota Uhura, Melissa Navia as Lt. Erica Ortegas, Babs Olusanmokun as Dr. M’Benga and Bruce Horak as Hemmer.

The series premieres on Paramount+ in the US on May 5, 2022.
