From director Thea Sharrock, the black comedy/ mystery Wicked Little Letters is preparing for delivery in UK cinemas. On February 23rd, audiences can expect to receive the film featuring Olivia Colman and Jessie Buckley in lead roles. Written by Jonny Sweet, the film is based on a true story from 1920s England. Co-starring Anjana Vasan, Joanna Scanlan, Gemma Jones, Malachi Kirby, Lolly Adefope, Eileen Atkins and Timothy Spall, the film looks to be a hilarious film that will have audiences laughing all the way home. THE PLOT
Based on a true scandal that stunned 1920s England, the story centres on neighbours Edith Swan and Rose Gooding in the seaside town of Littlehampton. One day, a series of obscene letters begin to target Edith and others. With suspicion falling upon Rose. As the outrageous letters continue to escalate, Rose risks losing both her freedom and custody of her daughter. Police Officer Gladys Moss (Vasan) is determined to find the real culprit. Along with a group of other women, seeks to solve this perplexing mystery.
