Julia Garner has been cast as Shalla-Bal Silver Surfer in Marvel Studios’ The Fantastic Four.
Marvel has completed casting for the main cast of THE FANTASTIC FOUR and is currently working on finding the actors for supporting roles. The studio has already announced Pedro Pascal as Reed Richards (aka Mr. Fantastic), Vanessa Kirby as Sue Storm (aka the Invisible Woman), Joseph Quinn as Johnny Storm (aka the Human Torch), and Ebon Moss-Bachrach as Ben Grimm (aka the Thing). But now, it seems that the studio has landed its Silver Surfer.

According to Deadline, Marvel has cast Emmy winner Julia Garner as the Shalla-Bal version of the Silver Surfer. Garner gained popularity for her impressive performance in the Netflix crime series Ozark and received an Emmy nomination for her role in the limited series Inventing Anna. This will mark her debut in the Marvel Universe and her first foray into the Superhero genre. Sadly, Marvel was unavailable for comment. However, if these claims are valid, the studio is setting a new standard for its upcoming slate of films.
