Review - Guardians Of The Galaxy Volume 3 (2023)

This week on The Official Film Chart, we see some Honour Among Thieves with Dungeons & Dragons, but it’s the Guardians Of The Galaxy who take the top spot!

THE OFFICIAL CHART

It is all changed in the top two places. Two new entries, two new titles in slots one and two. To accommodate these new titles, Titanic sinks again while 65 goes back to the past. But what are these two new entries, and what is our new number one? Let’s find out together.

THE GUARDIANS STORM THE CHART!

Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 storms straight to Number 1 on the Official Film Chart, dethroning Avatar: The Way of Water after six non-consecutive weeks at the summit. The third instalment of the Marvel movie franchise, starring Chris Pratt, Zoe Salanda and Will Poulter, debuts at the top following its home entertainment release. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 sees protagonist Peter Quill (Pratt) and his squad on a mission to defend the universe for one last time – but can the Guardians put a stop to the plans of a seemingly-unstoppable force? THERE’S HONOUR AMONG THIEVES AT NUMBER TWO!

Flying straight into the chart at number 2 is Dungeons & Dragons: Honour Among Thieves. The movie adaptation of the classic game features Chris Pine and Michelle Rodriguez. Fans of the game will get a great kick out of the movie and is an entertaining watch all around. (Read our review here.)

The animated movie Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse loses its grip as it falls two places to 7.

MAVERICK FLIES AGAIN!

Top Gun: Maverick climbs one spot to Number 8. (Read our review here.)

The Pope’s Exorcist remains in the top 10 for a third consecutive week at number 10.
