The Best Moment | Thor: The Dark World

Annlyel continues her series focussing on the best moment from every instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe

Next to The Incredible Hulk, Thor: The Dark World is the worst Marvel movie in the MCU. It’s villain, the dark elf Malekith is the worst primary antagonist in the franchise, its storyline is super weak, Natalie Portman’s Jane Foster feels horribly out of place, and it’s got some of the weakest action scenes in the MCU.

Thor: The Dark World is pretty terrible but it does have one scene that I recall with extreme fondness and that is when Thor breaks Loki out of his cell.

Loki, Thor’s mischievous brother, hasn’t had freedom for a while and he enjoys it splendidly. He begins to taunt his brother and even goes as far as to transform his image into the likeness of Captain America, hence the Chris Evans cameo.

It’s such a fun moment and really is the one part of the film that I actually legitimately liked. Unfortunately, the whole movie isn’t filled with fun scenes like this otherwise it would probably be one of my favorite Marvel films like Thor: Ragnarok.

Oh my goodness, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is next!
