Annlyel shares her favourite moment from George Lucas’ stellar Star Wars prequel Attack of the Clones
I’ve said this time and time again and I’m going to keep on saying it, Attack of the Clones is my least favorite Star Wars film…and yet, surprisingly, there are some scenes that I genuinely love in this movie.
From the opening scene where Senator Amidala’s ship is attacked upon arrival on Coruscant to the fascinating arena scene featuring dozens of Jedi in an epic battle, Attack of the Clones has some moments that have wowed me since I was a little girl. But there’s one particular scene that stands tall above them all (for me) and that scene is the chase sequence in the asteroid field surrounding Geonosis.
Jedi Knight Obi-Wan Kenobi is confronted with stealthily following Jango Fett to Geonosis but he ends up dealing with more than he bargained for as the tables turn and he is attacked by the ruthless bounty hunter.
With the music and the action combined, this scene makes me happy every time I watch it, making it my favorite moment of Attack of the Clones.
Next stop, the best film in the prequel trilogy: Revenge of the Sith.
