The organizers of Star Wars Celebration offer an update on this year’s event – cancellation possible!
In light of the on going fight against the Coronavirus (COVID-19), ReedPOP, working in partnership with Lucasfilm, recently gave an update about the status of Star Wars Celebration Anaheim later this year. The update was delivered both via email and on the official Star Wars Celebration website under the news and media section.
For the time being, the convention is still going forward. In other words, if you’re still looking forward to going, you do not need to make any changes to your travel plans at this time. Both ReedPOP and Lucasfilm are working closely with the Governor of California Gavin Newsom, and the city of Anaheim amongst other government health organizations to determine what, if any changes, need to be made regarding this beloved event. Any further announcements are said to be made and announced in the coming weeks.
In the event the situation changes and the celebration is either canceled or postponed, Lucasfilm and ReedPOP will allow all fans the option to either receive a full refund or transfer the price of their ticket order to a later date.
No matter what the final decision is, please know that Future of the Force is dedicated to bringing you the most up-to-date information both here and on across all of our social media platforms.

I am a major “Star Wars” fan who currently writes for Future of the Force and is absolutely loving it! Until my writing career really takes off, I am now writing for Future of the Force full time, having graduated Spring 2018 with my Bachelor’s Degree in Literature and Writing.
My other interests include ABC’s “The Good Doctor”, CW’s “Arrow” and “The Flash”, and DC’s “Batman”. Of all the iterations of Batman, my favorite would definitely have to be 1992’s “Batman: The Animated Series”.
