The UK and Europe are finally set to get their hands on the finale of Dave Filoni’s landmark series
After what has seemed like an eternity, we are delighted to confirm that the Star Wars: Rebels Blu-Ray drought is coming to an end in the UK and Europe. With Dave Filoni’s awesome series entering its twilight, fans were delighted when Lucasfilm confirmed that the final chapter would be arriving on home media in July.
Unfortunately, our hopes were dashed when the release only found its way onto the shelves of the US and Canada. As a result, the UK and European fans have been left with a void in our collections, one that will soon be filled by the upcoming release of Ron Howard’s superb Solo: A Star Wars Story.
However, thanks to a recent listing on Amazon.com we are delighted to confirm that Star Wars: Rebels Season 4 will be heading to Blu-Ray and DVD on October 26th in the UK.

At long last, the agonising wait is coming to an end. Sadly, this is the final insult in the Rebels UK indignity, a painful series of events which has seen the UK and Europe play second fiddle to the US and Canada and be last to the table for the majority of its run. Fans attending the Rebels panel at Star Wars Celebration were treated to a sneak peek at series four…while the UK contingent lucky enough to make the pilgrimage across the pond were still waiting to see the conclusion of season three!
Furthermore, every single season finale was aired in the US a full two weeks before the UK and the excited chatter filling our social media channels ruined every single surprise that awaited us on broadcast day.
In short, it was a shambles. One that the UK fans endured through gritted teeth and an ever-present sense of frustration. We can only hope that this unfair treatment will be rectified when Star Wars: Resistance arrives on our screens this coming October. In the meantime, head over to Amazon.com and pre-order your copy of Rebels: Season Four and bid farewell to Thrawn, Ezra, Hera and the Ghost one last time.
