Star Trek: Picard | New Trailer Debuts at SDCC

Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, Marina Sirtis and Jonathan Frakes All Set to Return

The return of Sir Patrick Stewart to the iconic role of Jean Luc Picard has triggered a tidal wave of anticipation from Star Trek fans everywhere; and they have been waiting with eager anticipation for their first look at the new series titled Star Trek: Picard.

The wait is finally over, and boy was it worth it!

Sir Patrick Stewart treated fans attending the Star Trek Universe panel at SDCC to the first full-length trailer for Star Trek: Picard and shocked the audience by bringing out surprise guests and Star Trek icons Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan and Jonathan Del Arco, announcing they will be appearing in Star Trek: Picard.

In addition to the surprise guests, it was revealed that Star Trek‘s Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis will make appearances in the new series as well, a fact that was later confirmed by Sirtis on her official Twitter account.

During the panel, it was also announced that Star Trek: Picard will premiere in early 2020 via CBS All Access for the US and Amazon Prime everywhere outside of the United States.

I don’t think I’m alone by saying this new trailer was epic. Just seeing Patrick Stewart slipping back into character as Jean Luc Picard was awesome enough, but when you add in the inclusion of Star Trek stalwarts like Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner and Jeri Ryan, Star Trek: Picard looks to be pulling out all the stops to deliver the best series it possibly can.

And, I defy anyone not to have a lump in their throat at the first sight of Brent Spiner in character as Data following his apparent and heart-breaking demise in the finale of Star Trek: Nemesis.

As previously mentioned, Star Trek: Picard debuts in the new year.
