Diego Luna has confirmed that the Cassian Andor series has already begun filming in London. During an interview with Jimmy Kimmel, the Rogue One star opened up about making “a short film with some friends” and touched upon exploring the character in the lead up to Rogue One.

“It’s basically everything you have to know to understand Rogue One,” Luna said. “The story of the character before. I can spoil the ending I guess!” Luna then added, “It’s nice to go into a story you already know the ending. Now you can take the nuances and the layers. I think it’s fun to do something that isn’t just about getting to the end. It’s about delaying that.”

The Cassian Andor series has been described as a “rousing spy thriller that will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”

Ordinarily, this news would be more than enough to have us dancing around like a Wookiee on Life Day, but the fun doesn’t end there. Production List recently posted an update that confirms a January production start date for Disney’s Obi-Wan Kenobi series, starring Ewan McGregor.
