The Rise of Kylo Ren Comic Series Is a Must-Read for Fans of the Sequel Trilogy
I’ve been saying it for years: Kylo Ren‘s backstory needs to be told. I wanted such an endeavor to be illustrated via a Star Wars standalone film or Disney+ series but a comic book series is just as fine. In fact, it might be a better move on Lucasfilm’s part.

Previews for Issues #1 and #2 for The Rise of Kylo Ren have been released and after looking at it it’s very apparent, this series is going to be amazing. Writer Charles Soule and Artist Will Sliney are the ones who will bring this story to life and it looks AMAZING!
Ben Solo’s fall to the dark side has been touched vaguely in the Sequel Trilogy but this series will feature young Solo’s full descent from a Force-wielder of the Light into an agent of darkness in a way that will shed even greater light on his storyline in the movies. I can tell you, this is the first comic that I’ve ever been excited to read. The art is gravitating and eye-popping, the writing is riveting and detailed, and the story seems much more interesting than I could’ve first imagined.
I mean, the second issue will feature Lor San Tekka, a character that was briefly seen at the beginning of The Force Awakens! Wow.
If you want to know more about Kylo Ren then prepare for this whopping delight of a series because it’s going to be epic.
