Max is on hand with his recommendation of what to watch whilst in lockdown.
To help beat the coronavirus blues, for the foreseeable future, members of team Future of the Force will be on hand with our recommendations of awesome entertainment to check out whilst in self-quarantine. Whether its the best TV shows, ultimate movie marathons or lesser-known gems, we’ll be here to keep you entertained during this difficult time.
YouTube
Believe it or not, despite my access to Netflix and Disney+, I have been watching tons of videos on YouTube on my iPhone. If you are a fan of speculative science and futurism then you should check out SFIA or Science and Futurism with Isaac Arthur. Isaac is a military man who has a degree in Physics and has over 200 episodes on his channel talking about the feasibility of concepts such as a Dyson sphere or Mind Augmentation. If you are a Star Wars fan; you probably are a fan of fictional science and Isaac brings his brilliant mind to try and see if these things could ever be made in reality. There is surprisingly no video on Lightsabers yet, but Isaac explores the galaxy like Han Solo in many episodes.
A word of caution. He does have a lisp which some people may find hard to listen to, but YouTube these days comes with closed captioning so it should not be a problem. The video has non-stop visuals along with Isaac’s narration and he posts a new video every Thursday at 11 in the morning. If you want to learn science but also have fun; SFIA is fun to watch.
Let us know if you have any suggestions of great movies or TV shows our readers should check out and we’ll feature and share them with the FOTF community.
Stay safe.
