Confirmed | Kyle Richards To Return For Halloween Ends

The actress will return as Lindsey Wallace in the closing chapter of David Gordon Green’s horror trilogy.

Kyle Richards, forty-three years after first playing Lindsey Wallace in John Carpenter’s ‘Halloween’ is returning to her once again. After appearing as the character in this year’s ‘Halloween Kills’, it has been confirmed that the actress will play her one more time in ‘Halloween Ends’. The film will be the concluding chapter of David Gordon Green’s horror trilogy. Variety reports that Ms. Richards has signed on to return with filming for the new film starting early in the new year. She will be joined once more by Jamie Lee Curtis and Andi Matichak. It has been reported that the script for the new film has been rewritten specifically to give the character a larger role in proceedings.

KYLE RICHARDS AND JASON BLUM COMMENT.

Kyle Richards spoke to Variety about her return once again to the ‘Halloween’ franchise, saying:

“The last movie, I saw Jamie (Lee Curtis) on the set, but we didn’t have stuff together. So I’m really hoping that there is more stuff together. I can’t talk about any storylines, but all I can say is that we start filming in January, and I’m so excited to return with Jamie Lee Curtis and David Gordon Green.”

Jason Blum followed Kyle Richards by stating:

“We are thrilled that Kyle will be reprising her role in Halloween Ends. The return of iconic characters in Halloween Kills was really important to David Gordon Green, and he took great pains to bring back the original actors when he could.”

*SPOILERS AHEAD* I thought it was a shame that Kyle Richards didn’t share any screen time with Jamie Lee Curtis in ‘Halloween Kills’. It was a disappointment. But at least she will have the chance to appear alongside her in the new film. But will it be a case of the same thing happening to her as happened to the other returnees in ‘Kills’? I mean, Tommy Doyle, Nurse Marion, and Former Sherriff Brackett returned last time out. And didn’t live to see the end credits. Does that mean that Lindsey has a date with the end of Michael Myers’ sharp knife this time? Anything can happen in the final film.

Look at the ending to the last film. Who would have predicted that Judy Greer’s character of Karen would end up being killed at the end by Michael? After the 2018 reboot, no one would have predicted her demise in the middle chapter of the trilogy. And yet, it happened. No one would have said that the three other returning characters would get killed off last time out. But it happened. And it was a waste of them returning. I fully expect Jamie Lee Curtis’ character of Laurie to die in the finale. But can Kyle Richards beat the trend and survive Myers’ final murder spree? We will find out on October 14th, 2022.

‘Halloween Ends’ will be released on October 14th, 2022. ‘Halloween Kills’ will be available later this month to buy on digital and from early January on DVD and Blu-Ray.
