The God of Mischief is Timeslipping in the First Trailer for Loki Season 2

The God of Mischief finds himself dragged through time and on a collision course with Kang in the first trailer for Loki Season 2

It’s been a minute since we caught up with Loki. The God of Mischief’s inaugural season was top-tier Marvel at its best. But aside from making a last-gap cameo in the Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania post-credit sequence, Tom Hiddelston’s beloved anti-hero has been largely missing from the MCU. But thankfully, Marvel Studios is about to quench our thirst by releasing a brand new trailer for the forthcoming second season which hits Disney Plus on October 6th.

As hinted at in the Ant-Man post-credit scene, Loki and Mobius are jumping through time in a desperate quest to stop Kang variant Victor Timely. But unfortunately for the God of Mischief, his problems have only just begun. And soon, he finds himself time slipping back and forth through time as his timeline begins to degrade. But can Mobius find a cure for this time-slipping phenomenon and rebuild the TVA before it’s too late? Let’s scroll down and hit play!

A NEW VARIANT

If the trailer isn’t enough to have us reaching for our Miss Minutes plush, the streamer also released a shiny new poster for Loki Season 2. And just like the promotional materials for season one, the new poster showcases multiple variants of Hiddelston’s God of Mischief. As well as the awesome supporting cast that will carry this new adventure forward. Check it out below.

RELEASE

By now it should be abundantly clear that Loki Season 2 is on target to emulate season one by delivering some of the best Marvel content we’ve had for some time. No disrespect to Secret Invasion, but the latest series just hasn’t justified its existence for me. And as the critical reception suggests, fans and critics alike weren’t blown away by Samuel L. Jackson’s struggle against the Skrulls.

Loki Season 2, on the other hand, looks exceptional and harkens back to the multilayered and well-structured storytelling we have become accustomed to. Moreover, the same creative minds behind the debut season are also on hand to bring season 2 to our screens. And if they can replicate their masterwork on season one in the new episodes, we could witness another landmark adventure for the MCU. And that is a tantalizing prospect.
