Imaginary Header

He’s not imaginary. And he’s not your friend. Meet Chauncey, the not-so-cuddly teddy bear in the trailer for Blumhouse’s Imaginary.

Are you ready to meet Chauncey, the not-so-cuddly teddy bear in Blumhouse’s horror movie Imaginary? The new movie, directed and produced by Jeff Wadlow and written by Wadlow, Greg Erb and Jason Oremland, hits cinemas in March of next year. Starring DeWanda Wise, Pyper Braun, Tom Payne, Betty Buckley, Taegen Burns, and Matthew Sato. Veronica Falcón, and Dane DiLiegro, the movie looks to be yet another home run from Jason Blum. Blum also produces the movie, with Bear McCready on scoring duties. The premise of the movie seems similar to M3gan, and Five Nights At Freddy’s. The trailer for the film has dropped online.

THE PREMISE

When Jessica returns to her childhood home with her family, she finds her old stuffed bear Chauncey and that her stepdaughter Alice has grown attached to it. After Alice’s behavior becomes concerning and the games that she and Chauncey play turn increasingly sinister, Jessica starts realizing that Chauncey is much more than the stuffed bear she believed him to be all those years.

Imaginary Poster

The movie looks to be another great chiller from Blumhouse, and with a production budget of $13 Million, the film is bound to be popular. I’m just hoping that the film isn’t another PG-13-rated affair. When Blumhouse puts their minds to it, they can come up with top-quality horror movies. The movie will tap into our childhood fears and give us a good scare or two along the way.

Imaginary Still

Imaginary will be very real when it opens on March 8th, 2024.

Will you be going to see the movie? Are you a fan of Blumhouse and their horror output? What are you hoping for from the film? Head down to the comments section to let us know. We always like to hear from you.
