The highly-accurate Rey (Jedi Training) collectable figure is specially crafted based on her appearance in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. It features a newly developed head sculpt, sophisticatedly tailored outfit, a LED light-up lightsaber, an interchangeable lightsaber blade emulating the weapon in motion, Rey’s signature quarterstaff, a blaster, and a specially designed character theme figure stand! Porg the avians, the inquisitive creature that exists in the cliffs of Luke Skywalker’s secluded island are also included as a special bonus accessory.

Like for Leia and Luke, Rey’s box features three promotional images of the figure.
This one comes with plenty of accessories – 2 Porgs (one is the same that comes with Luke Skywalker), 5 additional interchangeable hands (so that’s 7 hands in total), a blaster pistol, a staff, the famous Skywalker lightsaber hilt, a normal blue lightsaber blade, an “action” blue lightsaber blade, interchangeable arm for the LED lightsaber, a stand with an interchangeable Ahch-To deco, 3 batteries for the LED lightsaber arm and 2 additional hand joints. I’m happy they included Rey’s staff even though she doesn’t use it when wearing this outfit. All the weapons are extremely detailed and nicely painted. The figure has 30 points of articulation.
The LED lightsaber is phenomenal, the lighting effect is to quote Darth Vader “impressive…most impressive!” It’s the little detail that makes this figure extra special. When you remove the blade from the normal lightsaber hilt you have to be careful because I feel like it’s fragile, so when you change the blades, just take your time. The “action” lightsaber blade is heavy so it needs the two hands to support the lightsaber whether it’s the normal lightsaber hilt or the LED one. The “action” blade is a nice little effect.
As for the face sculpt, of course, it’s spot on Rey, it’s Hot Toys, what do you expect? I had seen the two versions from The Force Awakens and I will say this one is more expressive, they improved the sculpt. Her outfit is screen accurate, and they used some great fabric with different textures to recreate Rey’s Jedi Training outfit in great detail.
I have one complaint about this figure – the interchangeable hands. It takes a lot of time and patience to change them, I didn’t have this problem with Leia, Han or Luke. And the same goes for the arm that comes with the LED lightsaber, you really have to push hard to remove it and reinstall the normal arm. So you have to be extra careful because the LED lightsaber feels fragile.
Final Thoughts:
Rey is an exceptional figure, great likeness, a great number of accessories, what else could you want from a premium Star Wars collectable?
