Annlyel continues her series focussing on the best moment from every installment in the MCU continuing with Captain Marvel
While Captain Marvel wasn’t, personally, my favorite Marvel movie in recent years it was a decent entry in the MCU. One that introduced new characters, new heroes, and plenty of heroines to cheer for. I’ve only seen the film once but I remember it very well, making choosing a favorite moment pretty simple. However, there are several scenes that I absolutely LOVED and to pick the best moment from these scenes is actually, the more I think about it, kind of difficult.
Oh man, this is going to be harder than I thought. Okay, okay, I think the best moment in Captain Marvel is definitely when Carol Danvers realizes the greatness of her power and takes on Ronan’s army by herself. I remember staring at the big screen with a slack jaw and wide eyes as I watched her takedown Ronan’s missiles and ships with no effort whatsoever. The sheer magnitude of her power was astonishing and with the crescendoing music score that’s so elating it’s giving me chills just thinking about it accompanying this scene it managed to soar straight into my heart.
If there were more scenes like this in Captain Marvel it would undoubtedly be one of my top five favorite Marvel films.
Oh, snap, next movie, Avengers: Endgame. This should be fun.
