Black Series Review Clone Commander Bly (Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith)

Thomas braves the jungles of Felucia to review the superb new Commander Bly action figure from Hasbro

The latest Hasbro Star Wars: The Black Series wave is now reaching European shores and it contains Zori Bliss, a Knight of Ren, a Sith Jet Trooper, Count Dooku and Commander Bly.

Clone Commander Bly | Star Wars: Revenge Of The Sith

Hasbro continues to expand its clone roster with Commander Bly (Phase II)! This one comes with a blaster rifle and two blaster pistols. They’re simply painting all black, it’s repainted.

Bly and his troops boast one of my favorite clone color schemes so I’m really happy we now have a Black Series figure of this character! I just wish they had included a face sculpt considering we’ve seen him without his helmet in The Clone Wars.

The paint app is amazing on this one, they really nailed it and went to great lengths to recreate it (unlike for the 3.75inch line). It’s not just all yellow-mustard, there are also some brown marks. They gave him a little bit of weathering here and there but mostly focused it on the feet. The kama is soft goods and is unicolor. This figure has 23 points of articulation including a movable visor. Hasbro has recently employed 2 extra POA on the Rebel Fleet trooper and on some other figures, I think it would be about time to update the clone sculpt and give it to them as well. It would be very useful for clones who have blaster rifles!

Final Thoughts

A great new clone to add to the Revenge Of The Sith collection but now we need an Aayla Secura figure!
